I've gone through 4 cases since then, I know its here somewhere...

That drive cage is a little weird. However, if you never go in there you will never see it. And I bet that big gap in the middle would be nice for the full length video cards. I have a Sonata II and my 6800 only just barely fits in there.

My Sonata is also a bit of a lemon. If you close the front cover over the CD bays it rattles really badly. I just took it off, but that kind of defeats the purpose of a pretty case.

if it were me i would do selection in thsi order.

1. P182 - decent air cooling (includes 3 120mm fans with space for 1 more) and tons of harddrive mounting spaces (around 6 )

2. Sonata Series (very quite and decent air cooling)

3. Antec 900. not really a "coder" box but has tons of air flow including the huge ass 200mm fan on the top.

Thanks for all the help guys. It's difficult to choose when there are so many options and sometimes someone knows about a great case that you haven't seen yet.

I'm passing all this info to my buddy.

I really like that mini P180 3.0 Charlie, it's the first one I've seen that's all black inside. But $120 sans PSU is pretty steep considering the Sonata III is $100 with PSU.

We'll see what he says.

Be careful if you select the mini-P180, since it's for a mATX board only.
