Gaming case help
I'm not going to be doing any modding except for maybe drilling a couple fan holes depending on whats required but I'm basically trying to figure out what case to get.
I would like the best possible air flow for a single card, single CPU system with multiple hard drives. The computer is used for gaming but I'm not one of those cutting edge type people, I rock a ATI 5770 1GB card right now, might upgrade to a 560 when they drop in price but thats about the extent of my spending on my system. currently running a E5400 @ 3.2Ghz, 6GB ram and the 5770 I mentioned. I'm looking to upgrade to either an i3, i5 or maybe go more budget route with the AMD chips, quad core for sure if i go AMD.
What cases do you guys suggest? My budget would be under $100.
ATI HD 5770 is not a big deal of a card and is not that hot. If you would have said 9800GX2 that would have been something else. Antec 300 should do it for you. With free shipping from newegg.ca. Make sure you buy and install at least one of the front fans, if not both.
Any mods you'd recommend if I went to a 560 card? Also keep in mind I plan to run several hard drives.
I'm also planning on upgrading maybe AMD route or i5 route. Any differences in ideas based on that? I know it wont be crazy hot im just worried about flow around the drives.
I'd suggest a HAF912 or a 690 II. Both have good airflow.
I like the look of the HAF better than both but I feel like the Airflow best to worst would be Antec 300 -> HAF -> CM 690
What do you guys think?
