I used a free bench table for 6-7 years. It was called a motherboard box. :)

Thanks for all the great responses!

Based on all the recommendations, I'll give the HSPC a try.
I have a feeling based on all your recommendations, it will suit me just fine, especially since I like to swap components back and forth.
I've used the cardboard box method... while attending University I just wanted something a bit less ghetto this time around, without getting yet another tower.

I realize the merits of building my own as well, seeing as I'd be able to customize and get exactly what I want. I probably wont do that JUST yet, until I see how the Tech Bench's are supposed to be made.

I'm really digging that setup you have there Eldonko!
Dimastech has made one sweet bench!

By the way Eldonko, is there any space to attach your rad & pump on the Dimastech? it looks as if your rads are placed to the side? just curious, thanks for any info you can provide!

Cheers!

Yeah it is built so a triple or double rad will fit

In my case Im using heatercores not a rad so I went with the easy route and run them outside. It is just easier since the pipes come out of them in strange directions and mounting would be too much trouble.

Ah ha! thank you very kindly!

I was wondering why the "rad" looked so interesting hehe...
Didn't read the posting you had already made about the heatercore.

Getting old... I have selective hearing and reading apparently.

Cheers!

One of the few Tech benches I would ever consider is the one Eldonko runs. If it wasn't for the cats that seem to need to be near anything Hot I would have had one now.

This is the one I have on order: Test/Tech Bench | Rich Chomiczewski

Simple design, but highly configurable. E.g., I'll be using my old PA120.3 with 25mm spacing on it. Compatible with ATX, EATX, SWTX, etc. Stackable (you can mount 4 or more on top of each other). It's actually quite a brilliant little design, IMO.

edit - FWIW, I am officially done with being limited by my crappy little HSPC bench.

You could've sprung for a Dimastech bench on Black friday at Frozencpu, I don't remember what the exact prices were but they were a lot cheaper then they are now haha. (Pretty close to 110 if I remember right..)

Just wanted to add here that Highspeed PC released an HPTX sized Test Bench for anyone interested

Top Deck Tech Station (HPTX): HighSpeed PC - Home of the Tech Station open air PC workbench
Hefty price considering what we get.
