BitFenix Support/Discussion Thread!

Hey guys! You might have seen me at a couple of different forums. If not, I'm a BitFenix forum rep :)
If you guys got any questions regarding our products, or you just want to show off your new gear, post them up here. Most importantly, if you've got feedback, let us know. We take it seriously through forums and we try to improve based on the feedback we get from people in the community.

I'll be updating and looking over this thread periodically regarding contests, new products, and support (if you haven't sent an email to support@bitfenix.com)

Thanks!

I love the look of your cases however reviews stating that your cases feel cheap have generally kept me away. Maybe I will try one soon.

P.S I feel like all your cases have great cooling potential but I need to spend $50 on fans to unlock it which is something I don't want to do after buying a case.

On the bright side I think the colossus venom with the window is the best looking case around I just couldn't afford the $150+ 2x 140mm fans and 2x 120mm fans for a total of $200 (although if I had the money I woulda done it).

We actually use high quality plastic. Take the Merc for example. Only $40. Other case manufacturer's would use recycled plastics to build a case in that price bracket. We don't. Softouch is one of those things that you have to touch it to believe it. Love it or hate it. When BitFenix sent me my shinobi, first thing i touched was the front panel. I love it. Even NZXT has copied our softouch coating on the sentry and tempest 210.

I know what you mean in regards to the lack of fans. Yes, we also could have packed all our cases with fans. It would either be many fans, loud and low airflow, or few fans, quiet yet higher airflow. Again, we chose quality over quantity. The wires for the fans are completely black, even the front panel cables are black. An extra $20 on spectres to fill up the case is more than enough.

Oh yeah definitely you want to go with good fans I was just saying when a case is released at a certain price point with no fans, well it really doesn't belong in that price range (well if you plan on overclocking anyways).

For another example if I want a $150 case I will probably buy something like an RV03 just because I don't need to buy any more fans for it. That being said I agree with your viewpoint of quality over quantity, I would rather have 2 good fans then 6 crappy ones I just need to take the amount of fans into account with my budget.

Yay for cool cases!

I picked the non windowed version up on NCIX last night for my gaming build. Not sure why buying fans bother people, I picked up 4 green LED Gelid fans for $6 each and it will give me a cool green glow from my Shinobi.

I sold my Corsair 600TM for this case because I love the look.

Funny, but I am the exact opposite opinion. I rather a mfg spend ALL the resources on the CASE and not include any fans. Just make sure to include LOTS of std mounts for std size fans.

The reason I say that is I have yet to find any OEM fan that was good enough for my systems. I always yank em and throw them away and replace with FDB (or the equivalent) long life, quiet fans. So why spend moeny on eqipment that is just going to be chucked? IMHO better to have a better built case.

Guess its all in how you look at it and your own personal priorities. :)
