Default Need suggestion on small light weight computer case

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a computer case that is relatively small, light weight and preferably not overly expensive.

The reason I ask is the fact my folks would like me to build them a new computer, that's fine with me other then the fact I'll need to ship it to them full assembled and if I can keep the weight down then the cost to ship it to them will go down.

I've tried pitching having NCIX assemble the parts for the 40$ fee, walk them through installing Windows 7 and then remote connect in to set up their software after, but they'd rather I do it instead.

I'm also looking for it to preferably have 1 5.25" external bay and 1 3.25" external bay, however if that's uncommon 1 3.25" external bay is preferred (i've talked them down from internal dvd-rom drive that they never use anymore)

They look like they come in about 10lbs net weight. I was hoping for something lighter as I know the power supply is going to add quite a bit of weight to it. Unless the Apex systems with their built in ~250W power supplies are of any quality for a standard desktop system

I need a 3.25" external bay for an internal card reader, they are stuck on that as they don't want an external one (for whatever damn reason)

The problem is that a sacrifice will need to be made somewhere. If you are looking for a light, small case, you'll either need to sacrifice quality, pay more for a stand alone PSU or avoid the 3.5" drive bay.

Yeah, that does seem to be my problem ultimately. If I can convince them to go external flash card reader, is there a cheap slim dvd-rom drive I can use that's from/for a laptop without needing an adapter on the sata cable/power?

It depends which case you are using. Most cases use full size drives. Why would you need a slim DVD drive?

Silverstone should include an adapter but if memory serves me correct, they only include an mini IDE card. You'll need to pick up a SATA / Molex to mini SATA power adapter.
