One last question. I'd have 6 fans in total. My motherboard is the z68xp ud4 which has 2 connectors, so I'm assuming I'd need to buy a fan controller.

Or hook them up to the power supply using molex connectors.

@Spikemaul: Thanks for letting me know about that. It's a shame it doesn't say anything in the documentation about it.

One of our new Cooler Master CMHD.tv Blog Writers posted a topic about positive vs negative pressure in the CM 690 II.

There are plenty of other CM 690 II related topics that cover cable management, water cooling, and other aspects of the build.

Hopefully that, plus other tips from HWC, helps you.

hmm i used a CM 912 case.

it can have a 200mm fan in front and on top.
came with two 120's. i moved the front one onto my cpu cooler. could have put it on the side
but didn't seem to make much of a difference. since the 200 mm move so much air on their own and are..quiet very very quiet

I was looking for one for my 690II Advanced. I could order the windowed side panel direct from Coolermaster, but they charged $20 shipping on a $20 part.

I ended up having my brother order from TigerDirect, and he'll bring it up from the US when he visits for Christmas.

I love this case for the most part but it does fall short in some aspects.
-cpu retention hole isnt big enough to allow access to my z68 mobo so i had to remove it to install my h80
-internal dimensions do not leave a lot of room to fill out all the fan slots or route cables properly.
-side cpu fan location is useless if using tower cooler or 120mm radiator in rear exhaust location.
-not enough space behind mobo tray - replacing side panel was a pain
-no fan filters on the side panel

Quite timely that this thread comes back up now. My windowed side panel arrived a few days ago when my brother showed up for Xmas. I'll try to remember to take a picture of it and post it here.
