I have OWNED the 800D and with proper fans in this case it makes for GREAT airflow.

Its a very versatile case

It is good of course, but on air the X will be far superior.

Edit: And still nothing beats the good old 932 :)

Do you have an example of your airflow in the 800D? I've run the 800D, HAF X, and HAF 932 in my personal setups and found all to have their own unique strengths, but the 800D surely didn't have 'great' airflow. It's a great space to work in though.

The Raw cooling potential of the HAF make me vote for it in all honesty.
I have the original 932. Minus the dust filter issue its a very good case at keeping things cool.

That being said, there is no mistaking the build of a 800D, it is a nice case as well. Though for that kind of coin perhaps looking into Silverstone and Lian Li might be a good idea too.

I have been doing lots of reading on the 800D, and I own a 932 as well. The 800D's default fans are supposed to be quiet, and not move too much air. You can get decent air cooling on the 800D by replacing the stock fans, and putting some extra fans (ie. three) on the fan mounts at the top. I have seen folks change the rear outlet fan to an intake, but not sure how much that really helped. So good cooling seems to be possible on the 800D if you want to invest in additional fans.

With the HAF, the air cooling is great out of the box.

If you plan on watercooling in the future, then I would go with the 800D. Then, get three fans that are good for a rad, and place them in the top for extra air-cooling until you upgrade to water.

Out of the two cases I would go with the HAF just cause I love the hard drive bays better, but the 800D does have cable management over the HAF which is a big factor in buying a new case.

Uh.. I'll say the one thing the Haf has over the 800D is better cable management especially behind the motherboard tray.

There are some valid points 4 both cases. I own the HAF X and have been pleased with the air cooling. With 2 480s in sli, the gpu fan shroud keeps them from getting too warm.

If you're putting the gpus on water, then from what I've read, the 800D would seem better.

My setup had 1 480 originally, and the thing could be touched even after an hour of running Prime 95.

Now I installed a high flow gpu fan, rated @ 90 cfm @ 16dbs, so that worked really well.

We all know how these #s are suibjective at the best of times, but the usb3/sata3 hot swap bays and enhanced cooling straight out of the box was what sold me 4 air cooling.

Whichever way u go will be just fine and it really depends on your preference, so good luck and enjoy!
