Default Best case for <$50

So my laptop is crapping out on me and I'm going to open it up this weekend but if i break it I'm building a desktop... so basically my case budget is $50 but I'm looking to spend as little as possible for the best value.

I intend to put in a 6850 and and a hyper 212+

CM haf 912 seems to be nice?

Z9 plus if your budget can stretch a little, after seeing it in person and despite disliking the aesthetics I'm very impressed with the value and quality. Even more than a certain $170 case that I bought...
Zalman Z9 Plus ATX Mid Tower Case Black 3X5.25 1X3.5 5X3.5INT No PS W/ Fan Controller & Temp Display - DirectCanada

If your budget is tight, CM Elite or SS Precision. (pick the model you like most)

I almost shat my pants when you linked the K62. Then I clicked and it wasn't under $50.

The NZXT Gamma is worth a look, though the front panel is pretty much hit or miss with most people.

Yeah, thats a little above budget, and despite the nice discount that price still doesn't include tax/shipping.

I'll add my vote for the SS Precision cases.

I second the Z9, it actually really looks like a decent case!

How about a Thermaltake V4 or V3?

V3 can be pm'd to $40: NCIX.com - Buy Thermaltake V3 Black Edition ATX Mid Tower Case Black 4X5.25 1X3.5 4X3.5INT Front USB Audio No PSU - VL80001W2Z In Canada.

V4 for $40, $30.00 with MIR: NCIX.com - Buy Thermaltake V4 Black Edition ATX Mid Tower Case 4X5.25 1X3.5 EXT 4X3.5 INT Front USB Audio No PSU - VM30001W2Z In Canada.

Did a budget build with the V3 before, great case for it's price range.

I put most of my customer builds in Coolermaster Elites. Great cases that can be found in the $40 price range.

The Elite 370 is on for $37.99 right now, but that sale ends today. NCIX.com - Buy Coolermaster Elite 370 Black Mid Tower ATX Case 3X5.25 1X3.5 5X3.5INT No PS - RC-370-KKN1 In Canada.
