MountainMods Pinnacle Problem.

This seems like a common problem for mountainmods cases.. does anyone have a link to assembly instructions for the Pinnacle (18 or 24) cases?

I worked 11 hours today, came home.. shoveled, made dinner, worked more.. now i'm unpacking this case with the 500 feet of green saran wrap.. with multiple swear words and f-bombs already dropped.

On a normal evening I could figure this out.. but my brain is mush.
I emailed the MM sales guy, but he's probably going to be out for the weekend.. and my google searches came up with a bunch of acrylic cases.. which doesn't really help me.

Halp.

ugh. 1.5h later I have it figured out.. but ran out of damn screws. You'd think for a $400 case it would have instructions and the proper hardware attached.

Or at least.. you know.. put together. :(

yeah, i'm not happy with my MM purchase at all. This thing is so cheap for a $400 case. So it's aluminum and light whoopie - it doesn't come with fan grills, fans, or even 5 1/4" bay covers. it's just a bunch of laser cut (read: sharp edged) panels and a few bags of screws.
Definitely not worth the money.

Your seriously going to bitch and whine about this?

Its been fact for YEARS that its up to the consumer to purchase all that stuff. They provide you the base and you create the monster.

You should have bought a HAF X. :dots:

Doesn't fit an SR-2. Not much does at the moment.

I was just using that case as an example.

I am going to bitch and whine about purchasing a case that totals over $400, and it doesn't even have fan grills, or 5 1/4" bay covers.. which it shows in all the pictures when you purchase the unit. "Assembly required" would be nice to have read at some point. Sharp edges on cases are 2003.. not "high end" cases of 2011.
So "shame on me" for not researching further, however every review i've read about the case didn't mention this - and customers didn't have any complaints.. they just blabber on how awesome the case is (because they were given one for free...)

I should have spent the extra $100 for a Lian-Li P80

Tell me where it says I have to put it together myself.
It doesn't state the specifics of what you receive, like how many back plate covers and screws included.. so I went by what was in the picture.

I'm sorry you can't see the problem behind a person buying what they see (all the pictures on the page show fully assembled computer), being different than what they are shipped.
