Thanks for the offer Alpine.

Well after looking around, anything to house the Sr-2 + watercooling is 350 $ + shipping + duties minimum ...

Danger den acrylic 379 + shipping + taxes + duties
MM Pinnacle 24 - would come to 364 + shipping + taxes + duties (window + HTPX tray + fan holes on top)
MM u2-ufo (dream machine style...) - 404.99 $ (black) + shipping + taxes + duties

Yeah for now seems like it will sit on the good old cartridge box.....

Kinda in the same boat here. My 'Super Tower' I made for my SR-2 is just instable and can't be moved w/o the fear of catastrophic collapse.

I don't mind modifying a case to hold a watercooled SR-2 but even then there are almost zero possibilities.

cant comment on the case, but ive ordered waterblocks directly off of DD site. it took over a week for them to contact me, just for them to email me to say that they need photo ID, which needs to match my billing AND shipping address. it took about 2 weeks for them to ship about, and another week to get it. about 3 weeks in total until i got the blocks in my hands. might be quicker to get it via a re-seller in the states unless you have purchased from DD before (im guessing its a 1 time thing.)

edit: also ive seen some motherboard tray for the 800D thats meant for the SR-2. if you feel like customizing, the 700/800D can be modded for an sr-2 and ive also seen quad rads fitted up top, with a dual downlow where the HDD cage is. ive also seen a triple down low aswell, but that is limted to your PSU, need a short one to pull it off

This breaks both Visa and Mastercards merchant regulations. Asking for ID of any kind does actually. It is one of my biggest irritations of retailers up here. They all seem to think they need ID for purchases done by Mastercard.

Now back to topic. I forgot completely about the about the 700D/800D. Although the cost of the case + the cost of the motherboard tray is still going to cost close to $400 again. Although I do already have the motherboard tray.

yea i was rattled about the photo ID. i live in kitchener so my new drivers license has my kitchener address, but my billing/shipping is my parents house in hamilton. lucky for me i had an old drivers license with my old address so worked out for me in the end

if you get lucky you can get some good deals on the 700/800D. i picked up my 700D for 179 after MIR from canadacomputers

I've seen pics of your super tower (looks cool), reminds me of a make shift version of a stand I bought a couple of years ago.

Back on topic now...

Sorry I'm late to the party with my input.

I had originally bought the DangerDen DD Tower when I got the sr-2.
Panels are pretty hefty, and once assembled just watch out for the weight, and how you maneuver, I nicked my case slightly.
Beautiful case once you've finished assembly.
Perfect for triple rads up front.
Lots of customization possibilities.
It only took me a week and a half to receive mine from the US.
I went through fedex shipping by air/expedited (don't recall the exact choice).
Cost a nice chunk of change

In short, I moved down into an 800d (ended up selling the DD).
I don't have anything bad to say about the DD, other than the fact it didn't look quite right in my office
800d worked well, but i had picked up a separate board and cpu (980x, classified 3, using 3way sli, eventually down to 2. Don't know why I seem to be downsizing... already in the midst of selling stuff again, wanting to try out something smaller and more efficient... ala 2600k)

sr-2 i ended up having out in the open on a wooden platform i built, went from wc with 2 triple rads, down to air cooling
But this will be gone next week as well, as I have a colleague looking for an sr2

Sorry for

I like danger den.
I bought another acrylic case from them for tinkering.

Wish I had found this forum sooner, I would have documented my build.

edit: forgot to mention, I've seen the little devil's case... it looks pretty darn sweet as well.
TJ11 from Silverstone might be able to accomodate a rad or two as well... but I've only briefly seen it in pictures.
Looks really nice though.

edit 2: Forgot to mention, that Danger Den also does custom cuts. I'm sure Mountain Mods does too.
If you wanted, you could have 2 x 480 up front!
Just have them cut the 5.25" bays elsewhere.
Of course, this adds to delivery time.

Why not the Pinnacle 24 - CYO w/ Tower Pedestal 24? Or for something smaller, the Pinnacle 18 and Pedestal 18?

I agree, these are great choices.
Having taken a closer look at Mountain Mods cases the last few weeks.
I would have gone with MM instead of with Danger Den back then.
