Replacement for cm stacker 830...

Hi kids,

Having done much reading, and have not been able to come up with anything solid, so I now turn to you good folks for recommendations and advice

I am looking for a new, up-to-date replacement for a CM Stacker 830 from Cooler Master.

Basically put...
- I am NOT going to water cool this case. So I'm looking for a case, that has great air cooling potential. (passive or otherwise, the stacker 830 had mesh side panels, and thus awesome passive cooling)
- Something that has great cable management.
- Room enough to support E-ATX sized motherboards
- Front panel I/O should have 4 usb ports.
(so I don't have to keep reaching behind the case... I'm old, I can ask for this!!)

What I am NOT looking for as suggestions, because I already own these cases, and want something different.
- Corsair 800d/700d
- Corsair 600t
- NZXT Phantom
- Bitfenix Colossus (I already have it on pre-order, no point suggesting it)


So far, it looks like my only option is the Cooler Master HAF-X

Does anyone else know of any other similar solutions?

Should I wait until spring time?
A little birdie told me, of some "big" things coming from Cooler Master in the spring.

I'm sure there are more, but I thought I would wait to get opinions from the rest of the user community before I buy anything else.

personally, im waiting for the spring time CM stuff. CM is definately one of the best across their line. Ummm, i agree with you, HAFX is all that is out there other than what you have.

Doesn't the stacker 830 have 4 usbs on the front anyways? or at least i thought it had 2 on the front and 2 on the top.
If you really need to upgrade, wait I'd say. Otherwise, stick with your Stacker. Its an amazing case to this day.

What first came to mind for me was the Lian Li PC X1000 - then I realized fitting a E-ATX might be difficult. It certainly has everything else you're looking for. A shame the PC X2000 only has 2 front USB's. Most others I'd recommend (like the Silverstone TJ10) have 2 front USB's as well.

I suppose the HAF-X is an easy choice though. Airflow in that thing is amazing so I hear.

I just got the ATCS840 and it's a great case IMO.

Huge with EATX = quite a bit larger than my old Thermaltake Armor and Gigabyte EATX
4 top USB
Cable management = not great but lots of room behind mobo
Aluminum but at a decent price = PM'd mine for $195
No side panel fan but 3 BIG fans. (I'm using H20 so the airflow isn't a piority for me)
Understated looks but very nice IMO

ATCS 840 is a win win IMO. Also look at the fractal XL and some lian-li. Lancool K-62 is nice and the red interior version is bad ass. but I don't know about the E-atx support. Hope this will help.

Wait a second - I completely forgot about the In Win Ironclad.

4 USB's in the front (top) and tons of airflow with E-ATX too. Might be your thing, but hey who knows. It's running for a decent $135 CND at NCIX.

Actually many big things from a variety of companies debuting "hopefully" within the next few months.

Silverstone's TJ-11 should have you covered. Should also help alleviate any excess wallet weight.

Personally I would never replace the 830. You can fit outrageous amounts of hard drives in it, easy to water cool. Not to mention is huge size.

Yes, I'm starting to think the same thing with the lack of alternatives.
I'm not necessarily enthused over the looks of the Haf-X.

I think I'll do as FIXT suggests, and wait a while longer.

Although I have to admit, that the TJ11 looks mighty tempting

Perhaps a make over, with a black interior finish like this gorgeous unit may be what I'm looking for, for the time being.
