Default New Case/First Build.
Hey everyone. I just signed up mostly because HWC is awesome and I just built a PC. It is my first build and thought I would throw up a few pics. Also, suggestions on a next case(full tower) or other cool upgrades. By the way my wiring is pretty bad. Not Modular and the case is sort of restricting.

CPU-Intel i7-950 @ 3.07GHZ(soon to be 4.00 and beyond!)

My suggestion to help with one of the wiring issues is all video cards have a little cut out piece on the side closest to the MB for routing your 8Pin EPS Connector.
I would route that cable at least that way, otherwise looks nice.

Ok Ill try that out. Also, I am a littled confused about the new Intel stuff. I just bought the 950. Is the new i7 comparable to that or is it worlds better?

If you're talking about the new SB ones, there are some nice performance numbers to be had. That being said your system is perfect for what it is, if you want massive gains 2011 will be the one to wait for.

Alright Ive checked out the specs and it looks like there isnt a HUGE difference other than stock clock speed and the lower power consumption. But I think 2011 will be an exciting year to start in this new hobby.

Your socket is 1366 so it wouldn't allow for the 1155 socket. As Soul said 2011 the socket, not year will be something worth waiting for.

Oh yeah, i know that 2011 is a socket. Whens the release date? Q3 or something like that? That should be enough time to save quite a bit for an upgrade build

also i meant to say IN 2011 with all the new stuff announced it should be exciting. alongside the socket 2011
