Want to do something new with TJ07...
I've seen a plethora of watercooled TJ07's so its difficult to really do something different when the basic layout has already been set. I was originally planning on doing the same thing. Rad's at the bottom etc... but financial restraints have limited my ability to do such a thing. Personally, and this is not very Xtreme, but as a student, I cannot justify spending $700 on a bad ass WC loop for my AM3, 460sli setup.
So, my option is try to create and innovate a bad-ass Air cooled TJ07. And its left me thinking, 'What would Charles do?'
I already have an H50, and have de-shouded the GTX 460's but there should be more madness. I'm thinking a custom high air flow front panel, and various other mods.
However, if you had no other choice but to air cool a TJ07, what would you do?
What Heatsink would you choose?
Putting modder's mesh in that panel?
this is a rough draft, not to scale, will post something better a bit later on.
Get a black CPU cooler or a tuniq propeller. The tuniqis not that much performing but it's nice looking.

I did something like this with my Cosmos S back in the day, too bad I became insanely broke and had to sell it.
That being said; I'll follow the thread.. I've got some suggestions but I'm gonna let things play out a bit and see what you come up with yourself first, then add in some two cent tidbits :)
Not related to the TJ07 but maybe make a custom shroud for your gpu? As for the case itself, maybe a blowhole that opens up as the case gets hotter?
Blowhole might be a bit more difficult to execute lol.
I actually sourced a really cheap CPU loop, so its gonna end up being a bit of a wc/air build.
I have a few plans, mosty aesthetic, but we'll see how she'll go.
Going through a few more ideas for the front panel,
Going to start a work log when i get some of the ideas ironed out.
I might take some little parts from my stacker build, like recessed/diffused lighting etc.... unless i can crack Charles' idea for the lit midplate, or get my hands on one..
If anyone has any murdermod parts, and are willing to sell, let me know..
As for the color scheme, primarily the sleeving.
I'm thinking of a few:

what do you guys think?
I'm going to use clear tubing and blue fluid for the CPU loop, as well as potentially painting the shrouds of my 460's or creating and painting mesh shrouds, color depending on the dominant color.
I'm running gray and white - It just looks better with my EVGA board though:
P.S. Sorry for the bad pictures, the focus was slightly off...
The dominant color in your build is white right? The TJ07 I have is painted black, so black would have to be close to dominant. I'm also a believer that the sleeving accents should complement, but not really overpower the overall content. So like, if i have an all black painted case, and have white as the dominant sleeve color, the white would dominate.... you know what i mean? i'm looking to do something minimalist, so that it pops, but doesn't dominate.
i'm saying that, i'm leaning towards a three color sleeve combo. This looks so good, but, I dont have any red in the build, so i'm thinking maybe the light blue, or the royal blue for the accent colors, as there are led's and PCIE slots on my mobo that would match.
Heres the mobo:
Mines black, white, and gray. I was going for black and white, but the P55 FTW has those gray accents and I wanted to add a little more - as there are so many black and white builds all ready. I also through in a tiny bit of red because of the "E" logo on the north bridge, and because of the lighting accents on the murderMod front plate.
For the minimalistic look that you are speaking of, I would say do the cables all black, with only one or two in another color :thumb: In this case "less is more".
Gray, black, and white look great too.
