Need opinions plz!

Howdy all,

I'm a little upset about my case. It's the Coolermaster ATCS 840. A really nice-looking, huge, convenient:

-Complete system tray
-air filters
-Lots of options such as external GPU fan shroud, EATX-capable, dual PSU capability...

BUT...I don't like it...the side panels are a little thin...it's so huge inside (cavernous) that the sounds are echoing/reverberating...a little vibration from side panels doesn't help either...

It's a negative pressure case, so there is dust coming-in from cracks, back grille and stuff.

I want to change this and sell it.

The HAF-X is nice, but cavernous also, with lots of air inside, some say it's reverberating noises also. But that doesn't mean great AIRFLOW...
I like the size, but I thin that some newer mid-ATX could be better suited for silent-yet-effective cooling.

I don't want to spend more that the price of the HAF-X on sale $169...I'll recover some $$$ by selling my actual case...
I look at the HAF 922, Antec DF-30 and 35 and the 902(some find them ugly, but I like Antec for some reasons). I need a wide case (accomodate large HSFs like the NOCTUA 14..I need capability for SLI Crossfire some long HD5970-style cards (just in case....)


Any opinions?

AIR COOLING is what's matter, I'm not interested in WC.
Sounds weird, but overall, my Antec 300 had better cooling than that CM ATCS840 case that I got...

-dust filters, fan controller, front USB 3.0
-All black, good cable management, removable HDD trays

600T is from far the best option. A bit smaller, good licking, great construction. drop antec and CM ( even if I love my ATCS 840 ) and get the 600T.

What about a NZXT Phantom?

Amazing Airflow, and a very good case from what I've read.

The Corsair 600T is nice! A little too roundish for my taste, but it seems functional.
The NZXT, on the other hand, looks like a case that has been found in a burnt down house...angles looks like a melted case...but yes it fits the caracteristics...I always hesitate to consider case of a "lesser" brand...

Perhaps its all in the design.
I for one have used many NZXT Cases with great sucess, and CM , and Silverstone...

It all depends really. They may be a 'lesser' brand. But when it comes to actual function, they are bar none right up there.

Here's my advice. Buy 10$ worth of neoprene (or noise dampening foam as marketing peeps would call it) Stick them on the side panels of your ATCS, problem solved.

What you're looking for is a steel case, not aluminum

That sounds like a great idea as it reduces noise and blocks dust.
