Here's my advice. Buy 10$ worth of neoprene (or noise dampening foam as marketing peeps would call it) Stick them on the side panels of your ATCS, problem solved.

I think the issue with the ATCS840 is mostly the size...when the enclosure is huge, it doesn't matter how many fans you put in, it's hard to direct airflow...and for the aluminium...well it's nice, as long as the panels are thick enough...

It's my seconds CM case...the first was a 2004 Centurion...nice looking, but cooling-wize, it wasn't as good as a Sonata II (bad in the day) and the side panels were thin...Not sure if I want to go HAF now...CM doesn't like me ...

If you want postive pressure why not just increase the amount in intake fans?

My vote would be for some acoustic foam / sound deadener as well. I would go w/ some b-quiet before that extremely overpriced Nexus stuff though. $40 for 12 s. ft.

I too have an ATCS 840, but I absolutely love mine. It may be because i'm putting together a WC loop but that's besides the point haha. I have 2 120mm 1600RPM S-Flex fans on my hard drive cage currently and I too can feel and even hear them. I would absolutely love to reduce this if possible.

Also, has anyone seen the material that CM put on the side of the Cosmos cases? It's a triangular molded foam material I believe. Where can I get me some of that?!

The stock exhaust fans in the ATCS 840 located on the top and rear are absolute junk and move no air. I would consider replacing these if you are seeking more air flow. You could also flip the 2 top fans into the intake position.

Like lowfat said as well. I would MUCH prefer to spend a 20 or 40 bucks for some foam, and adjust my fan configuration than spend 100 or so on a new case that isn't as good as the ATCS 840. You've got one of the best cases on the market right now, treasure it

Anywho my friend configured his ATCS to positive pressure, just beware that positive pressure is less efficient at cooling if you overdo it.

Interesting proposal! But the top fans don't have filters..I'd have to jury-rig some ugly filters on there...

I got two 120mm Antec Tri-cools on the drive cage. Mounted using ANTEC rubber grommet thingies..they're too stiff...I'd like to get some better ones like this to try...something like these:

The Be-Quiet seems REALLY nice, being asphalt-based, it must be heavy, so that would help reducing vibration...
