xl-atx case? or make my own one?

there is very rare xl-atx case... popular case would be haf x...

but i feel like to have an aluminum or "lookin' good" case... not oddy or heavy look case like haf x...

if i have no option then should i go with haf x for 165cdn at best direct (PM at ncix tho)...?


if i want to make my own case... then i would need xl atx format dimension... and is it not good to make my own case for safety reason like fry the computer...?

please tell me your experience about make the case... ;p i just have hard time to search the right article , guirde or whatever... so please give the link...

+1 for MM, just bad they dont have a model named 88 so it would be a MM88:) Also look at lian-li maybe? they have some really nice case but they mostly look clean ( what you call plain with the 800d ) :P

You could go w/ a Lian Li PC-PC but it is quite a bit more expensive.

And a bit OT buy why the X58A-UD9? It is hardly a cost effective board for what you get out of it.

why not? i got a good deal.... mobo with free i7 930 from ncix... only about 180 cdn different when i buy ud3r with i7 950

A $180 difference is pretty significant. There are plenty of better ways to put that money to use, like getting a better GPU, adding RAM or disk space, getting a better case or heatsink, etc. Or you could just keep the $180 and end up a little richer.

Unless you plan on using 4+ videocards there really is no reason someone needs that board. Dropping to the UD3R will also eliminate the need for an XL-ATX case.

i believe ud9 is smoking many mobo x58a... yes xl-atx format is not easy to find the right case...

vertex 2 60gb + 7000.12 1tb is enough...

and i will grab extra 6gb if the ram has problem with pagefile, etc...

gpu is still undecided... ;p

180cdn is better than 480cdn if i dont pay combo deal... ;]


original i get ud3r but its average... and i hate msi (hardware/feature)/asus(drivers)...
