Default Affordable case that holds 10 HDDs?

Any suggestions on an affordable (lets say around $100?) case that holds 10 hard drives? 9 is the minimum, but I wouldn't mind having an extra. It's for my server, so looks aren't a huge deal, just something sturdy and hopefully quiet.

The closest I've come thus far is the Fractal Design R3, but it's only 8 HDDs + 2x 5.25" bays which I suppose I could adapt.

My 3 year old Antec 900 works, but since I hacked it up quite a bit back in the day, it's starting to fall apart. HDD cages don't really screw in tight anymore (guess the threads are gone), and it just vibrates like crazy unless I sit it a certain way.

If I go the Fractal R3 route, is there any 2x 5.25" bay to 2x (or more?) 3.5" adapters that NCIX carries? Seems to be hard to find those kinds of things, especially cheap ones. Most have hotswap functionality which I don't really need.

NZXT Whisper

Is pretty much the only one that comes to mind, it might be a bit over your budget though. But then again, I think most of the 10+ HDD bay chassi will. Probably better off modding a cheaper case.

NCIX.com - Buy Coolermaster STB-3T4-E3 3X5.25IN to 4X3.5IN Drive Bay Convertor Silver Black W/ 120MM Fan - STB-3T4-E3-GP In Canada.
NCIX.com - Buy Silverstone CFP52B Black 3X5.25IN to 4X3.5IN Hot Swap Bay Converter with 120MM Fan - CFP52B In Canada.
NCIX.com - Buy Thermaltake iCage 5.25IN To 3.5IN Aluminum Drive Bay Convertor W/ 120MM Blue LED Fan - A2309 In Canada.

I don't remember seeing 2x5.25" to 3.5"...

Could you just buy a new cheap case and use one of these 3x5.25" to 4x3.5" converters.

If you get a CM690 Basic for $72 on sale right now, plus the $22 CM HDD cage (or one of the others), that'll be under $100 and you'll have 10 HDD bays.

NCIX.com - Buy Coolermaster CM 690 II Basic ATX Mid Tower Case Black 4X5.25 6X3.5INT Front USB eSATA Audio *No PSU* - RC-692-KKN3 In Canada.

Hmm CM690 isn't too bad of an idea, didn't think of that.

The Element G is a bit too flashy IMO. I'd rather it kind of disappear than stand out...

Yeah I think it's either the R3 or CM690. Everything else is a bit to out-there for looks and gets expensive too.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for a good sale though. Can't buy any more computer parts until I pay off that Visa
