My System Specs

Default Compucase 7106 ATX

I have no idea why I'm so tempted to get one of these. Maybe it's the thought that black is the new beige. I've got an E8400 in an Antec Sonata, an Athlon x64 7750 in some generic midtower, a P4 server in a classic beige midtower, and an old Athlon being parted out in a generic beige box with grey trim. (The front jewel literally says Generic Computers)

So why am I so tempted to buy the Compucase?

Also, has anyone here worked with one of these?

That looks like a horrible case. I wouldn't touch it.

If I were stuck in the year 1992 I may very well consider this case. Otherwise? No chance in hell.

Well, it IS on sale for 39.99 right now

Like I said, it's inexplicable. Maybe because it almost feels like the passing of an era - I notice that there are OEMs still making beige cases, but they certainly don't seem to be selling them at retail anymore. Why is black so much better than beige anyway?

Black was the new beige. I've seriously been waiting for beige to come back in style, and here's my first hint of that. I paid a lot of money back in the day to have a black computer....

I think the Antec Sonatas would actually look pretty good with a cream colour, actually
