I haven't done an applique (sp?) with it, but I do know that most solvent based aerosol products will give you a frosted look on plexiglass / acrylic.

It would be fairly easy to test what they do if you have a couple of junk pieces of plexi/acrylic kicking around.

Once you decide on a spray solvent, you can mask off the whole window (double check to make sure that the masking tape you use will not be affected by the solvent), apply the image to the mask, and then cut out the parts you want frosted.

Spray the solvent on, and voila!!!!!

I don't have a case window, but I've been dying to try this method......

If you do try it out, please be sure to post some pics to let us know how it turns out.

QFT you could let the solvent sit longer to get different depths to your etching. I know their is a site that used to make custom appliqués, cant for the life of me remember what they were called? I know a Buddy on another forum does as he ordered something thought them, there in the states though, but I'll drop him a pm.

Default UV led's

I've been looking at sprayable uv paint lately and am thinking about using it on my case window. It comes in different colors and sprays on and dries clear. I'm getting a good deal on some 5mm uv leds that come with 12V resistors. I'd rather go this route than uv tubes. I'm puchasing a lot of 20 led's. If anyone is interested, I can place an order of 50 and mail what you need to you at cost. No shipping, just a self addressed stamped envelope. probably around 20 cents per led. I'll be placing my order this friday.
