Default Coolermaster Cosmos S

Hello,

I have been running this case for awhile and its great. I have to questions

1. The front of the case has removable black panels and i have 2 fans bring air into the cases. Is this the best idea, the front bringing air and the back taking air out. I just find the front always looks dirty.

2. Secondly i am looking to get this Corsair H50, to replace the Zalmans CPU cooler. Is this a good idea and should i mount the fan and pump on the bottom fan spot.

Thanks
Crazyscott

Yeah, you want to bring fresh air in from the front, but as you've already noticed, the dust filters don't take too long to look like crap. Not much you can do other than keep cleaning them.

Agreed with sswilson.

I asked a similar question, with mine being the Coolit Eco over the CoolerMaster 212+. I decided to keep the CoolerMaster 212+. Maybe as my next cooler, I'd go with the Coolit Eco.

As question one was answered by SSWilson already, I will give my opinion on the H50. I would not say it is worth the upgrade unless your temps are looking bad already. If they are good, then there is no real point to getting the H50 unless you just want a "poor mans" watercooling look to the case.

Heck, the top end air cooler out-perform that H50...

Just my 2c.

Yea the temperatures aren't to bad.

I have this
NCIX.com - Buy Zalman CNPS9900A LED CPU Cooler 120MM PWM Blue LED Fan LGA1366 1156 775 AM3 M2+ 754 939 940 W/STG2 - CNPS9900A LED In Canada.

and it sounds like the computer is like an airplane trying to take off. I can hardly hear the tv.

Can anybody suggest a quieter option maybe?

Are you overclocking, and if so, how high?

The H50 tube wont be long enough to put it on the bottom fan. The only place you can ( in your case ) is the rear one. Also, there is some good aircooler , prolimatech megahalem, thermalrightVenomus X etc that are BETTER then the H50. the pump is also not that silent IMO.

If you're not overclocking then one of the cheap(er) all-in-one WC kits would probably be a lot quieter than your current heatsink. You could also look at something (on the cheap) like the hyper 212+ with a low RPM fan.
