Oh and I actually just looked and at the 3 setting on the exos the fans aren't even moving... One fan looks like it is trying and the other not at all. Not enough power going to them I guess. So that's 39 degrees with no air movement. Not really pushing the cpu either though.

Really? No fan blockage? Or funny noises from the fans when spinning? And they're the original fans? My own Exos-2 would run right down to setting 1. And the unit is supposed to give the fans a full 12V for a short period after startup, which should be plenty to get them going at first.

Still, that CPU should be pretty cool at 3.4Ghz, and the radiator is actually larger than a standard double, so I'm not too surprised.

No blockage. No Noises either. And yes as far as I know they are original. I have it set to auto right now which puts it at 3, and the one fan is barely spinning while the other not at all. I'll probably get the scythe gentle typhoon 1850rpm fans and replace the koolance fans.

And yes I don't think I've seen this CPU higher than 45 full load for a long time. Rarely breaks the 40 mark. That's with the fans going though. Right now I'm at 37 degrees core with everest.

And actually I just fixed that tiny fan that the Maximus Extreme comes with for the chipset cooling and put that back on. My NB temp has dropped 5 degree and SB 2 degrees. And still with the fans on the exos not turning but adding that little fan the water temp has dropped to 36.

With the 4870, what else could I do instead of water cool it. As in, what is a good fan cooler that I can install on it to cool it down and keep it quieter?
