Default Wife Seeking Corsair 800d For Husband

Hi all,

I'm trying to surprise my husband with the case that he wants which is the Corsair Obsidian 800d.

The problem is that I am not too familiar with all of the places to get computer parts on the cheap. I need to get a really great deal and don't particularly feel like paying $300 for it.

Anyone know where I can look to get a really great deal on this awesome case?

His birthday isn't until September so if I need to wait a little for a good deal then that's fine.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

LovelyLee

I think I've seen it on sale for around $200. I think you'll have to wait for a sale because I can't find any price cheaper than $300 ATM. You might want to state where you live so local suggestions can be made, but good online shops would be places like NCIX/Best Direct/Direct Canada and New Egg. I use Shop Bot to find cheapest prices to use for price matching at NCIX or you could also use Price Canada .

Keep your eye on NCIX's weekly wednesday sales, they were the ones to have the case for $200 (after rebates, Corsair rebates are very good and reliable) during one of their wednesday sales a few months ago. The american ncix site for our southern neighbours (canadian spelling :P) is ncixus.com. The american prices are usually proportionally less but are based on our canadian prices, for example that dvd burner is on sale up here for $19 and ncixus.com has it for $18.05. Keep waiting for a sale, if you buy it now it'll loose value by september and new cases may come out. lucky husband... :)

There is a Fry's Electronics at 4100 Northgate Boulevard that has it in stock for $300 but it is doubtful you will find it too much under than after shipping is included if you don't buy it locally.

I watched prices for 2 months before I purchased mine 2 weeks ago... lowest I saw (Canadian mind you...) in that time was $280 from tigerdirect, which my local shop (memoryexpress) matched so i didnt have to pay for shipping.

that's a lot more than I would ever pay for a 800d... I'd pay no more than 240 new or 200 used.
