Gamer case info.

Time has come to start a new build. First I need some input as to what is needed and would like to have in Gamer case. Just case not hardware for this thread please; eg: how many drives hdd, optical, front I/O, IR?

What moutherbord do you plan to use fore build is ATX. How many PCI slots does it have. Do you want to Water Cool in the near futer. What is your price range. Black or colerd ? Pianted inside? Window or no window ?

This is going to be a scratch build, atx board, basically how many hdd's and rom drives do gamers need or want same with i/o. I don't game at all. Design is what I like and will build a case that will push the limits (i hope) this one will be air cooled. Our grandchildern will get to use and maybe somebody else likes it. I need a hobby.

Me:
Even cooling density.
Oh and big fans, they move lots of air at lower rpm's while being quieter.
Black interior.
ATX for sure ( mobos and stuff are only getting smaller)
I would say... 5 5.25, and 5 3.5, as well as a few 3.5 to 2.5 adapters.

Okay I said gamer case ie: 2nd case used for gaming and watching Youtube or movies. Connected to server, so does this case really need 4-5 5.25 or 4-5 3.5 I doubt it. Front i/o is 2 usb,e sata, audio in, headphone enough? Placement top front side R/L preferences? This is NOT going to be rectangle box, a little more style than that, front will feature silver

Alot of games these days are dounloaded and you may never get a disk copy. Redunancy in storeage becomes inportant. Raid fore the games also can be fastert to load and run.

Os WIN 7 is expensive and if it curupts or gets degraded it is expensive to buy again and agian. It also runs better in Raid and loads and runs quicker if it is on a SSD.

Use ATCI if your moutherboard suports it as your file system type in a new build this alows TRIM to be enaabled in WIN 7. This is very important to Keep SSD's from curupting or even failing.

You are giong to want to Image boath the OS and your games in case of problems hence lots of disk space.

ZZLEE Design is my game, I just want to build a case, will be my first,just for the heck, practice and will be used as 2nd in basement for movies ( too hot in summer) and for grandkids to play with. I am thinking maybe athlon a fairly cheap set-up. My questions are more about how much room is really needed in a 2nd case, which is what I assumed gamers might be using, thus the title.
