Modding CM Stacker STC-T01

Hello All
I have a stacker STC-T01 case and i wondering if anyone has successfully been able to take out the motherboard tray from the 'normal' side, flipping it around and putting it in the other side - so that the CPU is near the bottom of the case and the video card is near the top.

I will be doing this in my Stacker 810 (same case essentially) likely this weekend. I will let you know how it goes!

Yours should be simpler because it was designed for ATX/BTX so the mobo tray should be screwed into place. I have to drill rivets out of mine to do the swap and re-rivet it.

Careful there Dragoonxx, there a few variations of the "Stacker" design. Not all of them do SSI-MEB. The ones have have a removeable motherboard tray (or one that Looks like it can be removed, but it riveted in place) does NOT support SSI-MEB due to the support bracket thats added to reinforce the case when the mobo tray is out.

So its not quite as easy as I hoped.

The bottom of the back IO and Fan section on the mobo tray has some alignment slots cut into it, that the top does not have. So I will need to cut some matching slots in order for the mobo tray to sit flush in the inverted position.

Also, unless I move the power supply to the top position (the 810 only has one power supply mount, not 2) some of the rivet holes will not line up correctly. This limits the water cooling capability of this case, so its not really an option for me.

This is going to take a little more thought now, and while I've got it apart im going to sandblast and paint the interior matte black. So my simple weekend project just got rather extended.
