Default Out of the old, into the new

The old...served me well. But it was a little crammed.

Into the new Maelstrom...not bad for a 100 bucks, if you ask me.

I put a little more effort into wire management this time round.

22cm

Apparently you can remove it...and mount up to 8 120mm fans.

Not if I want the OCZ Reapers to fit. Besides it seems to actually help cool off the Classifieds NB.

Thought about removing it.....but I also thought about the mess it would create. Lord only knows how hard the foam is glued to the panel. Doesn't seem to bother temps much, 920do is at 4.2Ghz on air, idles at 41c 39c 41c 40c.

I thought that as well...when looking at pictures on the net. But really...it isn't all that bad. Maybe paint the front handle thingy (which is not meant to lift from). Replace the neon yellow fan. But the yellow seems to add a nice touch of contrast. But that front handle....still not sure if I care for it.

Tool less rails...big ass fan on the side. Paint job flat back/eggshell...impressed again. Vents on the bottom for the Power Supply to breathe. Front panel comes off with reasonable effort.

I spent 110 bucks...pleasantly surprised by the quality of this case.

Yeah I bet it absorbs sound as much as it effects the temps and the glue under it is probably atrocious! haha

Not a bad case though, I had never seen it before now...

It looks a lot more roomy. How do the temps compare?

I would say much better. I use to stick a house fan blowing on the old case...once I started oc'n the cpu on air.

Unfortunately I did not bother to commit the temps to memory. Has lots of room...certainly makes wire management much easier. The older case...just had no room to get my fingers in to even try.
