Cases for my folding/gaming machine which is better!
Sorry MOD's I didn't see a proper Sub Forum to put this question in (perhaps we should make one to talk about cases?)
Anyway guys I've got my computer (see sig my comp),
My dilemma is right now it has an Enermax 620W Modular PSU powering the thing.
I got my PC Power & Cooling 1KW back, and I want to add the 2nd GPU (SLI) that I bought off of MarcusFox to help with folding (and I presume gaming as well).
I would presume to add it with the current PSU would be to much power so I'll have to throw this big sucker back in!
I don't want to have to worry about it overheating. So I'm curious what has better space/cooling by default (I just do air cooling)
Currently the rig is in an Antec 900 V2 but probably with 45 minutes of work I could easily throw it in my
What would you guys recommend? Also the only other thing is the Thermaltake Armor has the PSU going sideways at the top (will my 1KW fit up there (this thing is huge lol).
Thanks in advance :)
Case Discussion moved to , the case forum of all things :whistle:
A case for Folding? Open bench, a la HSPC Techstation. That's what I have, and it's great.
I have kids so it has to be enclosed and what not lol, and i prefer it looks nice also I LAN occasionally etc..
Then the 902 is a very good case - with 24/7 ops, you need very good airflow.
So any more input here guys or just leave it in the antec 900 (V2 (not really sure what all changed from the v1 but anyway))
Or go with the Thermaltake Armor (I have both cases but my stuff is already in the Antec 900 V2 and it just seems cramped). The ThermalTake Armor looks bigger but I'm not sure if it really is or not.
I like the Armor, is the the Black Edition with Side fan However?
Otherwise if you want a rockin case get the Armor MX+ Full Tower, or if you need 4 Double Expansion Slots The TT Xaser VI would work too.
They can mount 140mm at the bottom, and on the MX+ you the the 230mm on the side with 2 120's up front. Good Airflow, lots of room , sturdy case.
My thoughts at least,
I used the 902 as a folding case: great airflow, and slots for 4 dual-slot GPUs. Can't ask for any better. Managed to fit 4 275s in one, and temps were great.
