Default Computer case / chasis with locking front door and side panel?

In the market for a child proof case - small or medium - for a Core I7 build.. was hoping for some opinions.

Only options I'm aware of in terms of consumer cases are:

1. Antec Sonata III. Anyone have a fully working Sonata II or III case for sale :)

2. Lian-Li PC-B10:
Lian-Li PC-B10

Lian Li's case is sweet but on the pricy side. The Antec Sonata series case would do but that horizontal bar just beneath the PSU is quite annoying. I've built a few systems with the Sonata II cases.. and because of that bar, you need to have the PSU in first before the installing the HSF. But with the PSU in place.. space is quite tight.

Any other options??

Interesting... I'll keep a note of that.. was hoping for something a bit smaller and looked ad the Mini P180 but it didn't have a lock so I just presumed the bigger ones didn't either..

You'd think that's a key feature .. that would be silly to remove in one version of the series.

Maybe I'll mod the case with Spikes and barb wire :)

I find Thermaltake often has great features for less. Was a fan of their Armor Series. Sorprano seems like a good value but personally prefer flushed flat fronts. I'm loving the Lian Li PC-B10 look but hard to justify @ $250.. IMHO should be sub $200. I can get TWO Sonata III with PSUs for $250.. sheesh.

Couple of rivets drilled out and a few placed screws makes that bar a dream.

Believe me, considered it. But kept the bar on the Antec Sonata to strap down lose cables. Just did things the hard way when installing the HSF.
- Removed the 5 1/4 drives.
- Slide the PSU as far into the 5 1/4 area of the case as possible.. mostly the cables
- Removed GPU or other expansion cards that might be in the way

That gives enough clearance for safe HSF installs

Don't need the case quite as yet.. I'm waiting out for second gen X58 boards..

The Antec Titan has a locking front panel that covers the 5 1/4 bays as well at the power and reset button. It also has two grills in the front that would keep little fingers out of the fans. It is long and roomy so there is lots of space. The side panel does not lock but the captured screws on the back would probably defeat kids. It is also a heavy case so can take some abuse.

If you want to be in and out of it a lot it is probably a bad choice. For a set and forget case I like it a lot.
