Default Has anyone ever tried routing their pc's heat?

Like so:

Re: [FAH] Shutting down ... - dslreports.com

I got the idea from my portable AC:

Notice how the heat from the AC is sent out through the giant tube. My window has a plate with a hole for it install. What if I hooked up all my back120mm fans to large tubing like that (I'd need a second plate)? That would have the heat transferred outside rather than my room. But the huge fan on top of my Antec 1200 case would need be problematic, but that's beside the point.

Anyone done this?

Bud no need to have 2 threads for the same subject.

Do a google search and you'll find tons of people who've tried this. I have a friend who gave it a shot and his room was less hot for sure.

I did google and couldn't find anything (but the first link). Can you link me to the google search results, what exactly did you type in?

I would be worried about debris and moisture. But it should work.

along the same lines, what about a water cooling system with long lines so you can get the rad outside?
on second thought if ti diddent get too cold this would be really good during the winter.

I think the constant warming/cooling would pop a fitting or something. Also the rad would need a good sealing or something, it might weather. The tube outside might work if you filtered it a lot... and had a drain of some sort.
