My System Specs

Default Corsair Obsidian Series 800D

Wow, I definitely expected there to be at least one thread on here hyping up the release of Corsair's first full-tower case. Is it possible I'm the only one pumped about it?

From Corsair's product page:
  • Four easily accessed hot-swap drive bays
  • Removable CPU backplate panel for easy heatsink installation
  • Isolated cooling zones prevent heat buildup
  • Unique cable routing holes guarantee a clean and clutter-free installation
  • Three fans included, with the ability to add four more 120mm fans
  • Tool-free optical drive installation makes building a system faster than ever
  • Two year warranty with Corsairís world-class customer service and technical support
Words just can't do it justice though. This case is simply gorgeous.

There are even some videos of an early engineering tooling sample that was demoed at this year's Computex.

This case seriously looks like a dream to both build in and look at.

Yep looks very much like my Silverstone TJ09 Case...nice!!

btw...looking at your "planned build" you really should throw in a minimum 1kW PSU, such as HX 1kW....only 850 in that killer rig.....with WC?...

The 1000HX is definitely a fine PSU, but the 850HX is quite a serious piece of kit. 80plus Gold certification, single 12v rail at 70A (1kHX is dual-rail at 40A; the 295 needs 46A), and a 7 year Corsair warranty.

But let's not get too off-topic here

I am pretty sure there was already a thread about this? Still a seriously gorgeous case, I want to pick one up just to see what I can do with it.

Also, for anyone that's interested in learning more, there's quite a lively discussion about the 800D going on at the official Corsair forums.

Also, this was the case that finally convinced me to "take the plunge" and water cool my next build. Everything about this case rubs me the right way :3

It's... It's so beautiful. Brushed aluminum faceplate, lots of cable routing holes come stock, three 140mm fans, isolated compartments for heat management, hinged CPU backplate for ease of cooler (un)installation, hotswap hard drive bays... And one damn classy look. I might cry. Somebody hold me, please. ;__;
