cable sleeving, can I buy it from a department store?

Is there a good place to buy this stuff? (ie canadian tire, home depot etc.) I dont care if its uv reactive. I just want some black cable sleeving. I'm hoping I can pick it up somehwere so I can start on my project sooner rather than later!

highly unlikely. You are going to have hard time finding any in Canada nevertheless a department store.

I think you can get split wire loom at Canadian Tire or probably an automotive store, it would be black though.

+1. This sleeve is top notch, there is absolutely no trace of my wires peaking through the weeve. Here are some quick shots of one of my attempts at sleeving. As you can see the sleeving is great, my application however was not, bit of wire is peeking out:(. Gotta slide it back in but you get the idea. It costs a chunk of change but you pay for quality, this heatshrink goes on tight and you really need to pull to make it do what I did(little accident).

Yah I live near burlington. is it a normally stocked item? or is it special order?

I haven't been to the Burlington store, but the Cambridge one keeps stock normally, so odds are in favour, I'd say.
