Default Antec 1200 VS NZXT Tempest

Hey there everyone. Right now I am using an XClio-A380BK and its nice an all, but I kind of out-grew the style. So now, I want a new case, and preferably a really nice cooling one. I have two choices

Antec 1200 (Antec - Twelve Hundred)
12 drive bays
Standard ATX motherboard form factor
Unique power supply option:
- Mounts either a standard size power supply or Antec's exclusive CP Series power supply
Perforated front bezel for enhanced air intake
Washable air filters reduce dust build-up in your system
Advanced cooling system:
- 1 top 200mm Big Boy 200™ blue LED fan
- 2 rear 120mm TriCool™ blue LED fan
- 3 front 120mm blue LED fan
- 1 (optional) side 120mm fan to cool graphics cards
- 1 (optional) middle 120mm fan to cool CPU or graphics cards
- Water cooling platform for reservoir or pump
- Compatible w/ Antec's 200mm Radiator (designed exclusively for the Twelve Hundred)
7 expansion slots for greater customizability
Top mounted I/O ports for easy access
- 2 x USB 2.0
- 1 x eSATA
- HD Audio In and Out
Top component tray stores your music player, camera and more
Dimensions:
- 22.9" (H) x 8.4" (W) x 20.2" (D)
- 582mm (H) x 213mm (W) x 513mm (D)

NZXT Tempest (NZXT. Products.)
-6 fans including;
-2 front intake(120mm)
-two top exhaust(140mm)
-1 side(120mm)
-1 rear fan(120mm) Tempest maximizes expandability with E-ATX support allowing for more compatibility with high end components including larger graphics cards. Cable routing is pre-drilled so users can hide cables behind the motherboard tray, allowing for a cleaner appearance and improved airflow. Tempest also features server-like HDD space by using dual 120mm fans to cool cages holding up to 8 HDDs allowing for large capacity systems while maintaining cool temperatures.

OR WHAT I HAVE NOW - XClio-A380 (XClio)
-1 front fan (250mm) [BLOWING IN]
-1 side exhaust fan (250mm)[BLOWING OUT]
-1 rear exhaust (120mm)

I just want to know, out of those three, what would be the best?

Well, i have a Tempest and haven't had any problems so far. Unlike the Antec, its fully equipped with dust filers which work really well; when i open the case, there is pretty much no visible dust.
The included fans are a little weak though, you might want to consider upgrading some of them especially since they have to suck in air through the relatively thick filters, overall everything still remains nice and cool though :)
And umm i think that's all, you might want to consider checking out a CM HAF though (especially now that CM have revealed a mid tower version of it). Its expected to sell for relatively the same price as a Tempest and has the capacity to fit 3*200mm fans and an additional 3*140 (dont quote me on that, its only what i can remember). Technically, due to the size of its fans, it should have more cooling potential and in my opinion, it just looks alot better than a Tempest :)

Kash, that's the CM HAF 922 case, which is not in the same league as the Antec 1200 and Tempest.

What he means is this, the HAF 932

Review here.
Cooler Master HAF 932 Case Review

If you don't mind the looks, the HAF 932 is in a class of its own when compared to the 1200 and Tempest.

The HAF 922 is a mid tower and the HAF 932 is a full tower

I'd have to wait to see the HAF922 up close to really get a good grasp on what it can and can't do.
The Tempest is nice, but lacks some Cable Management as well as a Proper way to do a reverse PSU mount.
Otherwise, the 1 I worked on was very nice and cool.
Putting in some Yates helped the cooling.
I personally like it, and I think someone is selling one on the BST Forums for like 95, which is a damn good deal.

Regards,
ST

i ve ordered myself an antec 1200 i should receive it this week and ive foudn on the internet youtube some videos of some modifiying alternatives. that gave me a couples of ideas regarding the case if there was lacking few minors things like tooless features.

therefor i still wonder how much ill have to do but i hope i wont need to add and modify too much unless its jsut some cool visual effects.
