GPU OC is done strictly with software. Check out riva tuner.

Thank you very much for the advice guys...its helping me big time...
Im still confused just what exactly im after when it comes to ram speeds.

Im happy with the new cpu stats....
64% overclocked now
Ran prime95 for over 10hrs and everything is nice and stable
3dmark06 is now at 11135
here is the screen shot..
what should i be doing to get better speeds out of the ram?

Doing nice from what I can see, I am not a Intel guy so........

Still looking good , so is it prime stable? Priming both cores right? Are those volts as low as possible? once you got a nice OC see how low you can go on the voltage.
GPU is actually way easier IMO Just watch out for artifacts and snow and you'll be fine.

Edit: crap you posted:D

If you need a basic understanding of RAM and timings go Here teach you all the basics, dear gods dont go posting there :)

Post here but I anit going to type that crap out if the sources elsewhere.

On a side note I hate that forum, Gestapo Attitude IMO.

Are you still running the original PSU?

My experience (I've got more cpu & mem experience) with gpus is that the biggest factor in OC is heat.

If you can bring the temps down you can probably squeeze a little bit out of it.

sizerkozak January 1, 2007 04:34 PM

yup still using the same psu till the other one comes in

sizerkozak January 1, 2007 07:07 PM

well i finnaly got the GPU up to 622/1000

Had to remove the rivatuner and use the nvidia control panel

3dmark06 is now up to 11853 and a steady OC using prime for 5 hrs

I've found that the memory on those 8800s is usually good for a little bit more than that. Have you considered water cooling that card? Are you going to add another?
