Default Somtimes, copying and idea is a good thing for us users

Well, Coolermaster did it, with their HAF932. No more removing the Motherboard to get at our backing plate for our Heatsinks/waterblocks.

Now, Thermaltake has launched a new line of Chassis the Element.
Thermaltakeusa»Chassis»Element Series»Element S : Element S VK60001N2Z

And you guessed it, they have the same design as the HAF with an opening at the back.

Normally I would be 'boo hiss!' for that idea being used. However, anything that makes our lives easier is welcome, and for a great design to be adopted across the boards makes me happier everyday.

Hopefully other people will start doing it in their cases too, and we can see a new standard for this kinda thing.

Nice to see its catching on! WOHO!....but that case looks like the love child of a HAF and a Silverstone Raven...getting its looks from the Raven and its insides from the HAF. Want to bet it has even more plastic on it than the Raven does?

I really love the SSD mounting points included in the design as well.
It doesn't look as far out as the Raven though.
Good to see good ideas hitting home with the major makers.
I don't mind plastic on a case so long as its done right, and its the strong stuff, not the cheap stuff.

Looks like a decent case, better than that Antec 900 v2 IMO.

Rather wide case too since they were able to fit dual 60mm fans beside the PCI slots.

I like how the inside is black. Other than that, looks pretty bad. I had a Soprano and hated it. But, a lot of people can't spend a lot on a decent case so this might suffice for the price.

Not my taste either, but nice to see the backplate hole and a matching interior.

I agree standard cases should get the grey primer look, the enthusiast case(s) should come with black interior as a standard.

The Coolermaster ATCS has the cut out as well, not sure which was first, but its not about copying, its about keeping what works and reengineering what doesn't, and the cut out works.
