Default How do I remove these "bolts"

I have an Ultra Grid case, and I'm trying to remove the top panel of the case, but it's held on by these funky screw/bolt things. They basically have a round hole, and they fan out on the inside. Does anyone have an idea on how to get these off?

Here's a link to a pic of the back of an ultra grid. Hopefully it helps. Also, does anyone know what these things are called? I'm having trouble searching because I don't know what to search for.

Thanks for the help

There called rivets.

You need a drill with usually a 1/4" bit to remove the outside flange and they'll just push through.

They look like rivets, and you have to drill them out in order to get them out.

Awesome, thanks guys. I was totally drawing a blank on the name of them. I'll go get to work with the dremel.

buy new rivets and a rivet gun ($15-$25).

Rivets are meant to be permanent. Those are pop-rivets. A 1/8" bit will drill them out.

And don't forget to blow out the case very well after the drilling, those little bits of metal can maybe cause a short in there.
