need a small case with big space.

I need something that will take a full ATX mobo (Gigabyte DS3H) and lots of HDD...like upto 5 or so. currently the only case I can think of is the Antec 300. Is there anything else out there I should consider?

I would go with the 300, I really like mine. One alternative I've seen recommended is the Coolermaster 590, you would have to get another HDD drive adapter though... NCIX.com - Buy Coolermaster Centurion 590 ATX Tower Case Black 9X5.25 1X3.5 4X3.5INT - RC-590 In Canada.

I used the 300 to build my server in. Used a full ATX motherboard and 6 HDD's, tons and tons of room, plus for the price, you can't go wrong

Coolermaster 590? I said small... :haha:

it's not big...but it's not small either, but there's that nice Enlight case that's being discussed. storage for 8 HDD's in hot swappable bay's. $125 for that doesn't sound too bad either...tho $55 for the Antec 300 is hard to beat. very hard to beat.

Cam I dont think that model comes with hotswap bays. According to Enlight, the part number listed only comes with a fixed drive cabinet. Possibly only room for 4 drives. SR506101 - 5U PEDESTAL SVR CHAS BLK W/ 1 FIX HDD CAGE
Also looks cheaper here : ENlight SR-506 (SR506101) ATX Full Tower Case - Reviews, Features, and Prices $108 - $108 at DealTime

The 590 is only about 1 3/4" longer than the 300 and about the same height and width. Like I said I'm a 300 Fan, just giving options...

Cptn Vortex December 30, 2008 12:55 AM

I wouldnt trust a description....otherwise that would be a killer deal on that case...

Sure, but for $30 more you get extra fans and slightly more space than the 300 if you were to buy the CoolerMaster 590. I don't know about that Enlight case, it sounds like a good space heater to me.

I love the CM case for sure. They are really stepping up to the plate when it comes to designs.
So, first vote goes there.

Second vote, TT Armor Jr. , or TT Armor MX+ (althought the MX might be too big for you still). I think Even the V9 would be a good fit.

Good Cooling options, good designs (IMO, I know TT isn't the best for a lot of stuff out there).

Again, like I said, I'm partial to the CM design, but at least listing some options for you.
