Default What brand paints do you use? (Interior)

Matte/Satin/Glossy?
Brands? Krylon / Tremclad / Plasti-kote?
What kind of primer? - Self etching or just the reg's?

Krylon is the best paint. you don't need tremclad, it takes 24 hours to dry.

I used semi-gloss black Tremclad on my Antec 900. No primer.

Isn't Krylon all water-based? I don't know if that's good or bad.

I've used all of the above plus some auto paint from local supply shop (brand unknown). I've even used Rustoleum with decent results.

Doesn't matter what you use.

Personally matte is the best finish and its the amount of paint per layer that makes the real difference.

I have used different kinds of paint. The best results come from following the direction on the can and having a clean surface to paint on and a dust free place to paint. One paint I like for cool colours is dupli-color metalcast paint. Gives it a anodised look by applying a sliver base with clear coloured overcoats.

nope. Krylon has a set of paints that is h20 based, but their regular paints aren't. i talked with a paint specilist at lordco, they said that tremclad primer works great on metal - it's designed for it, and any brand paint after that is great.

i grabbed 2 cans of grey tremclad primer, and 2 cans each of black/white matte krylon
gonna paint the inside of my TJ-07 a flat white, with black accents such as screws n such. hope it turns out nice! will be throwin this in my worklog soon.

The best match I found for Gloss Black (NZXT Apollo),
was Duplicolour - Trim Paint (black).
Dries fast, nice finish. Looks like factory job.

I know you can get it at Partsource.

I used self etching automotive primer that I got from an auto body supply store as well as a matte black. Not sure of the name. I should of sprayed a clear over it for protection. I'm seriously considering get it sandblasted down to bare metal again and taking it to get powder coated.
