My System Specs

Default Ultimate Gaming Coffee Table

After giving it some thought I've decided to make this my new case. The top will be cut out around the gold inlay and replaced with a 1/4" clear acrylic sheet alloying the mobo and whatever parts I want to be seen. The bottom base will be approx. 2" off the ground and attached to all 4 legs of the table. Haven't decided yet but will probably use wood for the base & half way up and 2 to side panels then acrylic on the 2 shorter ends (may even use mirror with some funky lights!...lol. The mobo tray will be in a slide out drawer or shelf for easy access while PSU, pump(s), rad(s) and hdd's will all be hidden. Holes and cutouts will be used to mount fans, dvd drives, power switch etc. I'm just doing a cardboard mock up for mearsuments and fit purposes, I hope to pick up materials by the weekend and go from there. More pics as I progress.

If you do it up right it'll still be a good place for coffee and spirits.

Should be interesting.

Now if it were me... I'd cut out the center section, around the gold trim, sink in a piece of glass, then underneath use half height hardware, maybe WCing and a little lighting, run the cables down the legs to keep them hidden, and you'd have a spiffy HTPC. Well, original anyway.

Good luck with your project.

[edit]NM, shoulda read the original post more closely to see that you already mentioned most of that.[/edit]
