Default Custom Side Panel

I have an idea for a custom side panel. We buy great parts and put them in and we like to have them on display for others to see. I could go the route of cutting my side panel but to be honest I'm too lazy and don't have the proper tools.

Here is my idea. Get a custom cut piece of smoked acrylic glass and use that as a side panel. It would look something like this.

I would if the computer was running. But it's missing a motherboard, processor and video card. The picture is a photo shopped picture of the case that I taken earlier.

Hmm, I think she would look a bit rough, and while it would work, I dunno, she wouldn't be pretty. I still think you should take the dremel root.

I'm lazy too, luckily I know some people. Mind you I never did get around to finishing that project.

Hey Balistx, that looks cool man.. it looks like your pc has no side panel.. Why not add a sticker or something on it. Like a UV one.. Sorry I forgot what they are called..

I think it'd be best to cut the panel as well to keep the drive bays hidden and overall it would have a finished look unless you have a plan on making the original mounting spots for the side panel to disappear.

If you want to be super lazy, just get this: Cooler Master Transparent Acrylic Side Window Panel w/ 120mm Blue LED Fan- For RC-690 Products Model: RA-690-KWN2-GP [RA-690-KWN2-GP] : Performance-PCs.com, ... sleeve it and they will come

The cooler master side panel, the window isn't big enough. I think if I get a dark enough piece of acrylic it will hide the drive bay mounting area. I have to see once I get the piece. It's only going to cost $10.00 for the piece of smoked acrylic.

I know you want a custom one, or make one. But you could take the original one, cut till the corners (until the closing mechanism), and then get a piece of smoked acrylic glass like you want, and apply it from the back, so it looks like it is a side panel.

I know the HP BlackBird, when I worked there, they hade made a custom side panel that was fully acrylic, I'll see if I can find a picture or something, but they hadn't released it yet.
