Default help! anyone have any cable mangement tips?

Hi guys, im having alotta trouble managing my cables well.
I have a antec 900 but not the one with the cable mangement where the mobo tray is pushed up so that the other side of the case has some room to slip the cables through.
right now im just using cable ties and tying them together hoping that they wont touch anything >_> it looks very cluttered.
I have a Corsair 750W psu.
I'll try to post pictures if i can.

Yes I'd post some pics if you can.

It takes a bit of planning but switching the hard drives round so the cables attach at the front of the case helps to neaten it up a bit.

For the leads that are not used they can always be folded into an empty bay,and pushed behind the MB if there's a gap between the panel and the main-board plate.

Making good use of each leads connectors helps too so that the minimum of leads are used for what you are powering.

Cables ties are a must to keep it clean.

Does the 900 have an "intake" on the bottom for the PSU? If so, does your PSU cable run tight on the back side of the case when it's installed to draw air in from the bottom, or is it stuck out up front?

If so, it might be worth your while to flip it the other way and not worry about fresh air in from the bottom.

I'm not too familiar with the 900 case. Hopefully these links will help.

YouTube - Antec 900 Cable Management

A Positive Look at the Antec Nine Hundred (900) Case - XtremeSystems Forums

Antec 900 Cable Management - Overclockers Forums

There's a lot of research, but at least you can see what other people have done.

Good luck. Post a build/mod log.

Whenever I build a system in a 900 case. I leave as much of the bottom open (no hard drives) and zip tie/stuff them down in the bottom right across from the PSU. It works pretty well, the only way you would really see an improvement is cutting some holes in the back.

Depeinding on you drive configuration/graphic card situation it might be a little tricky.

First tip. Patience. Second tip. Planning. Think of where you could route cables well before you start putting it together. You can make almost any case look good if you plan it out ahead of time.

900 is the worst case around to try and do anything in.

I modded my 900 and posted in the Worklog forum. I used a drill with 2 different sized hole saws. I used some hollow screen holding rubber to make a grommet, though you could use many different materials to do the same.

http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum...detta-2-a.html

If you don't want to do the holes then you are going to have to be creative and use ties to keep things together and try and run cables up the tray side. You can get cable ties and tie anchors at a hardware store. I picked mine up at Princess Auto here in Winnipeg.

There are better cases with more room behind the motherboard tray, but it is doable with the 900.

Good Luck!
