Default Geokilla's Awesome Build.

You guys might remember this $500 PC For Sister Well the parts came today, and since it's my first time building a computer. I'm gonna take pics and keep track of my work and stuff. I'll build it when I'm feeling less lazy...xD

Edit: Have to figure out a way how to resize my pictures first. Sorry guys.

Use this site to upload your pics and it already has a setting to adjust your pictures below is the site.
ImageShack® - Image Hosting
Unfortunetely the forum uploading thing is just wayyy too picky for me keeps saying pics are too large so i just use imageshack works for me.

Thanks Dashock. I got 3 pics coming up shortly.

The new rig will be mine. Although I feel a bit bad and stuff since my sister is always getting my old things.

Image attachment is harder to use than I thought. I'll get it....soon.

Looks good. Don't listen to CTA...take your time. Double and triple-check all connections before you power it up. Try and have fun while building it. GL and post some pics of the completed machine.

Ya I can build it in 3 hours......plus another 3 hours lol. Last time, I spent an hour just adding AS5 to the heatsink in my current rig lol.

I'm gonna have to figure out how to get the front panel off, and install my DVD drive at the top drive bay....Gotta get that mesh off somehow. And I still need to get a Vendetta 2 since Canada Computers doesn't have a Xigmatek HDT S-1283.

Edit: Got the front panel off. There was a place for you to place your hand to take the panel off.

Were did you order the rest of the build? I thought you were getting it from NCIX. They have the Xigmatek in stock:

NCIX.com - Buy Xigmatek HDT-S1283 Direct Touch 3 Heatpipe Heatsink AM2 LGA775 S754 S939 S940 W 120MM PWM Fan - HDT-S1283 In Canada.

Ya my parts are all shipped. However, I calculated it, and buying the Vendetta 2 from Canada Computers would be cheaper than buying it from Direct Canada and paying the $10 shipping fee. >.< Shoulda bought it with the rest of the parts.

How hard is it to take off the motherboard to install a heatsink like the Vendetta 2? Or is it possible to install it while leaving the mobo still in the case?

The Vendetta 2 is a push-pin style mount. Theoretically you can mount them with the mobo in the case. But if the mobo starts creaking, just pull it out and mount it. That's usually about a 30-45 minute job for me.
