Wow, that is some very interesting insight!

I had no idea! I've used FCP quite a bit back in the 3.0 days, but haven't used anything else to compare it to.

The keyboards are very sweet. I gave my wife one for her iMac G5 on her birthday because the original died. It's the best gift I have ever given her, and that is saying a lot because she usually doesn't approve of technology gifts from me. I didn't even think of trying it on one of the PCs here.

Despite the 8 cores, 16gigs of RAM, the RAIDED drives, and the Quatro 4500 that orange rig next to it outperformed it in every just about way with a single Opteron 185, 4GB RAM, SLi 8800's and a MatroxRTE. I was shocked an amzed how how incredibly unefficient the ProMacs are - never again would I consider an Apple product (except the keyboards... they are pimp). For under 5k you culd build a PC that would CRUSH a loaded 15k ProMac in content creation applications.

I usually use a combination of the Adobe suite and Avid for my editing and motionography work, however I've recently been playing a lot with processing and flash in an attempt to develop some fun experimental multi-touch interfaces, and code generated motionography.

The new slim apple keyboards work just fine on any windows machine, and are hands down the finest keyboards I'ver ever typed on. I'm in the process of modding one of the wireless ones with black keys and a copper/carbon fiber finish for my PrometheusCU project.

wow bud, calm down, I was joking...hence the :P smiley at the end...

I don't care what a computer is running, as long as it gets the job done.

Thanks for the good words

@Cranky - it's a hobby. Did take a while (couple of months on and off).
@Balistx - had a shop do it for me. Was around $40 for the two panes of glass, and sandblasting one side.

Welcome to the forum- you've got a gamers' paradise there- Why two matching systems? do you alternate days- switching back and forth, or is the second one for boy wonder?

@ubermunkey,

Nice work, that looks really close to what I want to make for myself. How thick is the top? Also I see you have a KB tray in one pic then have the KB&M on the table top in a different picture, didn't like the tray? In the little I've had a chance to use them I'm not a big fan of them.
