the wife and I have used the same desks for a few years now...not sure who made them...got them at Staples I think...our "cafe" setups have the real jewels...one is the corner part of a "sewing" table circa: who the hell knows...and the other is a Walmart high end piece that was modded "haha" as in glued and screwed

What are the specs of each, sorry to ask, but I didn't find it in any of the posts you have?

yep...it seems to be a physics thing...the rubber stops on the desk keep it from sliding and the wall keeps the pressure towards the table , very stable , got a new desk coming

my specs are in "my specs" , the wifes is similar , same mobo , same cpu, little different corsair memory, 5970 card , h20 on cpu and vid , rapters raid 0 (it's good to have a woman who is "ate up with it")

cafe 1 is all nvidia , surround 3d , gtx460 sli , q6600 , ocz mem , striker extreme (little dated) , 3x viewsonic 120hz 22" , CM690II , some hard drive

cafe 2 is X48 Giga DQ6 , q9550 , ocz mem , quad fire 2 x 4870x2 , asus 24" , CM690II , raptors raid 0 and storage drive
