yeah, I heard about the Aerons before, apparently most of the fortune 500 companies use them. Too bad I'm pretty broke right now, couldn't feel comfortable spending that much on a chair. Also, I wonder how much the markup is (what their profit margin is), I don't understand how chair manufacturing could be so costly. Same for the materials - pretty much just mesh, plastic, metal, foam.

I bought my Aeron at the worst possible time. When you buy a customized Aeron it gets put together and shipped directly from Herman Miller. I ordered mine in January 2009 and received it like 2 months later. Which by that time HM had already announced their Aeron successor which is like twice the chair. Spending $900+ on a chair then having something better come out weeks after is very heartbreaking.

Easily the best $150 dollars I've spent, its going to make editing and lurking so much more comfortable. I just need to build that tower, looking into compatible parts and such, saving up a bit more too.





For the record my tower is going to be where that lamp is.
