My System Specs

Default Noctua Colour Change

Well even though the colour was starting to grow on me, it still didn't match the rest of my case (painted the inside semi-gloss black). So I picked up some Duplicolor Vinyl and Fabric Dye from Canadian Tire today.

I'm quite happy with the results, though they aren't fully dry yet and the flash from the camera reveals more than you see in real life. Plus since its gloss black and sitting on my glass desk, there's some reflection as well.

NF-S12-1200

NF-P12

Should look a ton better in my case now

now you've added extra weight to the fan and they won't work the same :(

It's dye so it soaks into the plastic...

I doubt it adds that much more weight. It's not like adding a layer of paint.

He's right, it will effect the fans, not sure by how much but there will be some effect. Can't say I like it over the regular Noctua colors (I actually like stock colors on mine, lol!!!).

Well from my subjective testing (aka by ear), they sound exactly the same. Also by feeling the air, they feel the same as well.

Hell, I'm running my TRUE passive right now, relying purely on case airflow, and my temps are only 61/51 (Core/RealTemp) under full load. At stock speed and voltage though. Not sure why I even need fans on the TRUE

I was thinking that, but it would be a PITA to do. I was thinking more like blue or red though.

For those concerned with the effects of the dye on performance (I expect it would be negligable) they could just do the body of the fan.... The dark brown isn't too bad it's the "flesh/peach" colour that turns me off.
