Default Case build

Hi there,

I have been looking to build my own case that would suit my needs. The thing is that I have 16 gauge steel (it's like 1,4 to 1,5mm) sheets and I was wondering if this would be too tough for the case... I am trying to build a small case, approximately 12'' x 12'' x 8''.

Should I go with what I have or buy 2mm alluminium sheets, which I really don't have the money to buy this now?

Just a weight difference really. as far as working with it steel is easy enough to work with. I would just use what you have since you are on a budget.
