Loop is currently functional but awaiting parts for finished product. Temps are decent but underwhelming when compared to the stock cooling (55c max vice 75c max under the stock cooling). I'm not completely surprised though as the processor wasn't really being pushed all that hard yet so the benefits of a WC loop will start to show as I bump up voltages.

Very tight fit. Very curious on how the Pentium will do under water.

Got it buttoned up (closed sides) running prime ff @ 4.7G w/ 1.375V and topping off @ 82c. Tried 1.35V and could use windows but froze up a minute or two into prime.

Yes the temps are high(ish), but it's a budget processor, on a budget motherboard, with a budget PSU (Corsair CX500) running inside an extremely cramped space. I'm impressed so far. :)

Heh... spoke too soon... 1.375 died on me after 10 minutes. Going to try 1.4, but I'm also wondering about the flat chipset cooling on this motherboard.... I've got a tower chipset cooler that might fit the bill. :)

edit: superpi 1M = 8.377 @ 4.7 7-7-7-24 1333 in case anybody is interested.

16hr+ prime @ 4.7 8-8-8-24 1333. Voltages are stupid high, and temps on one of the cores hit 87c but that's kinda the idea of a $70 overclocking processor.

Single threaded superpi is screaming @ sub 8.3 second 1M runs. :)

I was surprised that tighter mem timings held me back so much considering this board will only run the memory @ 1333.

Parts inbound from DazMode so I'll hold off on completed pics until the loop is in it's final form. Now to figure out what exactly to do with this PC. :)

edit: knocks the crap out of the am1 3dmark benchmarks even without tweaking the GFX.... ;)

Result

edit2: Ok, that's pretty cool... not verified for any kind of stability, and not tested for upper limits yet either, but pretty impressive benchmark score bump on the GPU.... ;)

Result

edit3: multi of 35 (up from 25) does appear to be the upper limit. Pretty impressive though. :)

Just to show that we've still got a long way to go when it comes to onboard. It's closer than I thought it would be, but even a lowly 4850 beats it handily.

Certainly well worth the $150 combo cost.

150? Was it a used ITX mobo, or did you get away with a cheaper chipset with an older bios allowing overclocking ie : h87 ? Im currently using mini itx right now, and would absolutely love to stay with it. But the z87 and z97 itx boards are bloody expensive at the moment.

Installed it stock just to make sure everything was working as advertised and had no problems running 4G with the stock cooler. superpi 1M was 10.202 seconds, and max temp after 20 minutes prime ff was 75c so I'm pretty happy so far and looking forward to see what I'll get under water.

Asus H81 chipset board as per pics in earlier post. :)

Depending on what H87 board you're running there might be a bios update that unlocks overclocking.

Is that for non-pentiums as well?
