Default Corsair C70 Custom Side Window?

I have a bit of a dilemma. I am looking to replace the side window with one piece of Optix Acrylic. Does anyone know of a way to secure the window to the frame? I was going to use some type of velcro and attach it to the border of the case, but the velcro I can find is too thick, protruding the acrylic out too far from the case.

I was thinking of cutting the side panel to the border where the panel is flat, leaving the hinges in tact also.

Here is a picture of a prototype piece I was using. It's a little on the thick side at .080", but not horrible. If I add double sided tape or velcro it will stick out further than it already does.

I used the acrylic for my Prodigy side panel and it sits flush. I'm using vinyl tape to secure it for now until I can find some kind of replacement.

what about drilling holes to mount a couple of custom clips in front to catch and hold and a custom handle in back to secure with an industrial look and recessed machine screws. all in black of course. The logistics on how the clips and handle security you will have to figure out . I like the look alot of the full clear side. nice

edit-maybe cut up some pieces from original panel to make them?

tbh the easy way would be to cut up the old side , remove everything and leave 1/2 to 3/4" all around depending on how it attaches to case and fit the window inside that. still a clean look but I don't think that's not what your going for is it

You also have the option to buy this : Corsair C70 Vengeance Custom Window

It uses the factory screws to secure it

You know what I want. ;) Pretty much how I did the Prodigy is how I want the C70 to look.

I was considering drilling holes in the case and screwing the panel in, but that can become a pain. I find myself removing my panel quite often to clean, rearrange etc.

Magnetic strips is a real possibility. Just not sure who sells something like that. Checked Micheals online and found nothing.

Have you made any progress on this? I am considering doing the same thing. Magnetic strip seems like the best option, as long as you can get it flush and somewhat sealed on all sides.
