I think they look a million times better personally. Plus the heat from the PCB is in direct contact to the heatsink instead of going through the plastic pump body.

Hi!!

Sorry for the delay but it as been crazy since my return from Vegas.

Here's a small update (mostly received parts)

A WEEK AGO, I received a very very nice package from a kickass guy!

Alexstrasza and me did approved those awesome pieces of art!

Here's them installed a few minutes after box opening!!! So hot!!!

TODAY, I received an order from Daz including some LED's for the case feets...here they are lighted up!!!!

In the order I also received a couple more BP Blood Red fittings since I will order the EK M6G Southbridge block when Daz will receive it.
I order an other stop plug since I like this one better to go on top of the reservoir and finally I didn't like the painting job on my BP drain plug so I ordered a REAL matte black one.

Finally, a while ago Lowfat suggested me to remove the plastic casing of the DDC and use the provided shell from the Koolance kit.
This way the heatsink is directly "connecting" with the PCB. It turns out well after a few coats of paint.

That's all for now. Next week I should be able to continue more frequently my updates.

Hi everybody!

This build is not dead!!!

I encounter a setback that pissed me off really bad so I did take a break to re-focus.

When I started the build I really wanted to have my radiators painted red and my fan frames the matching yellow sand of my sleeving with of course the fan blades dyed red. The blades steps went really well so I was motivated to go with the painting of the frames...I did start with 2 frames....AAAANNNNNDDDDDD I hit the wall...

First, the paint did not cover very well so I had to put a lot of coats if it would only have been that issue I would only have bought more paint but the end result was sincerely UGLY!!!! So I repainted the both frames in flat black.

I didn't wanted black fans on a red radiator so all my ideas there were ruined so I stopped the build.

Weeks have passed and I decided to go conventionnal (boring a bit) with the setup and I decided to keep the radiators black so the only color accent is the fans blades.

The only place we'll see the Yellow Sand accents will be on the sleeving and maybe on the backplate (if my idea work).

During all this time I did received my fan controller...a brand new Aquaero 6 XT. Sadly for Daz, I did order it the day before he told us that he would have them.

So here are a few pictures of the current status of the build. Both radiators are cleaned and installed so as the fans, the controller and the pump/reservoir.

During the build break Alexstrasza kept her calm behind the gates

Fans stickers received and they look awesome!!!

Pump setup installed but I need to figure a way to make the reservoir straight. Currently it sags a bit.

Very nice looking front case with the AQ6 and the rad/fans setup

Top 360 installed

As usual I like to push the space limit of my fan controllers....I've done it again

Starting tomorrow is the dreaded PSU sleeving step!!!
