Maybe

Yesterday and today was painting black details and 75% of the fans blades dyed!

Here's only a few pictures...first are 5 of the 8 blades done. The color rendering is awful compare to the real result which is "darker" than what you see. Second picture is the heatsink bracket and mounting plate of the Koolance pump top now flat black and also the IO shield of the motherboard.

Tomorrow the last 3 blades will be done and also some other mini parts painted.

Excellent. My next project is using similar colors as well (painted my fan blades two days ago).

I noticed that the IO panel shield is kind of wrinkly. Is that just because of the lighting? Did you paint it standing up or flat? I've found that a lot of spray paints work best when the object is laying flat. Just some handy info.

Keep it up! loving what I'm seeing!

I think its wrinkly cause its the soft insulating padding side.

I painted it laying flat but like Birk said the wrinkly effect is because of the padded insulation. But it looks smoother in reality.

Hi everyone!

Late night update!

The 3 remaining fan blade are done and also the last flat black painting too. In fact what was left to be painted black was a nut on the reservoir top and a BP drain that was Black Sparkle. I tried to paint it red but it was awful so flat black it will be. I wish they had one in Blood Red but...

AND another update. Today I received my Gdesmo Mod!!!

I had some acrylic work done by Gdesmo to hide what I personally think is a flaw in the Mercury line case design....the butt naked back of the switch plate. So I asked him to fabricate a little box to cover it

The whole thing won't show by the window when the door is in place and when it's open it makes the case WAY more cleaner!

He did a phenomenal work. Very precise and finished to perfection. Even a little detail like little brass inserts instead of tapping a thread in the acrylic is there!

Thanks again G.

Now the pictures!

The Cover Mod

I catch a BUG in my case!!!

The last 3 fan blades and the assembled "blacked out" pump

I'm leaving to Las Vegas for a week on thursday morning so it will be the last picture update for a little while.

Are you missing part of the Koolance DDC heatsink? Mine both came w/ a metal pump body that replaces the plastic one.
