Lets talk about the aesthetics of a computer, some like to build a pc that's all about performance and don't give a crap about how it looks. While others want the performance but also want their build to be a work of art. We all dream of maybe one day getting our rig featured inside the pages of Maximum PC. I have seen some rigs on here that are honestly worthy of that, where the builder has paid attention to every minute detail.
When it comes to the look of the PC you are building the colour scheme plays a very important role. Some base their motherboard and graphics card selection on this colour scheme. So when it comes to the colour scheme what colours do you think are have been done to death and which ones do you think are on the rise and which ones do you think would be unique?
I think any colour can be done well if done in moderation, even red. :haha:
Personally I try to buy colour neutral boards or boards I can make neutral w/ some light modding.
I'm working on a build right now that even I think has been a little over done. A B&W scheme in a Fractal case. I'm doing it because I personally like the scheme, my previous build was blue but poorly done.
I never seen much white mainboards, witch might be interesting into B&W scheme...
Todays we see too much black PCB's.
MSI use much of red PCB's (at least in the past), yet still it did not look any bad in the end:
I, personally, care much more about what components are soldered there, that what color it is, when the rig is built for closed case. Yet when the build is made to look (inside the case), then white PCB and red ports of A9RX480 shine out :thumb:
